Richard Michael Conti is an emerging artist based in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. His artwork employs mixed media, watercolor, gouache, and printmaking. He has explored and documented the evolving community through faces and building facades, diverse in countenances and cultures. Often this sense is underscored by a highly finished treatment in a shallow space. Los Angeles buildings, many still empty since the pandemic, are traversed for their architectonic potential with a focus that informs the depth and verisimilitude of his work.
