Maxine Lemieux is a French-Canadian filmmaker from Sudbury, ON. She spent a few years focusing on cinematography and writing before dedicating her thesis project at Toronto Metropolitan University to writing, directing, and producing an animated short film “A Great Big Terrible Dream” which screened at the Image Arts Film Festival 2022. Maxine is a visual artist who loves storytelling through different mediums such as illustration and animation. She pulls her inspiration from strong fantasy world-building stories and the surrealism she finds in her everyday life.
